Clash in the attic!
Mick Jones reopens his Rock & Roll Public Library
THROUGHOUT his trailblazing tenures in The Clash, Big Audio Dynamite and beyond, Mick Jones has stealthily amassed one of the most significant collections of 20th-century pop culture ephemera in existence, comprising records, video, books, comics, fanzines, musical equipment, art, clothing, photos, flyers and badges, as well as items relating to his own illustrious musical career.
Jones has previously displayed selections from his vast archive at various locations under the banner of The Rock & Roll Public Library; now he's dug even deeper into the vaults for a new experiential exhibition at London's Farsight Gallery, whose opening coincides with the launchof a periodical magazine exploring Jones's collection in more detail. In this exclusive image from Issue 1 of the RRPL magazine, you can see an array of clothing and musical gear worn or played by Jones himself, some of which will be on displayin the new exhibition.
